Let’s try this again.

I’ve always felt insecure about writing a blog.

Which is super weird because I write sermons almost every week and then teach them publicly and it doesn’t faze me. But writing a blog? Yikes.

Maybe it’s that it’s hard to write tone into a blog.

Maybe it’s because I get affirmation almost immediately when I speak publicly because I can see and hear the responses of those listening. With a blog I don’t even know if you’ve finished the post.

Which, that reminds me, are you still with me?

But I haven’t been able to shake that I really need to try again to create a space (that isn’t Facebook because…well…Facebook sucks) where I can process thoughts about life, faith, family, politics, justice, and how Ted Lasso is the best show ever.

So that brings me back to good ol’ Medium. Maybe this is the space that we can have some meaningful conversations without algorithms that bait trolls.

Let’s talk about stuff and see what happens, shall we?
